Aims and Objectives
Academic Aims and Objectives
Aim:
The aim of this research review is to critically evaluate the various constraints that have historically and contemporarily shaped human existence, behavior, and societal development. This study seeks to provide an interdisciplinary understanding of how structural, cultural, psychological, ethical, and environmental limitations influence the trajectory of humanity, and to assess scholarly discourse on the implications of such constraints for human agency, freedom, and progress.
Objectives:
- To systematically review academic literature on the concept of human constraints across disciplines such as sociology, philosophy, political science, psychology, and anthropology.
- To identify and classify the primary categories of constraints affecting humanity, including but not limited to social norms, political oppression, economic inequality, ethical boundaries, and environmental limitations.
- To critically examine the historical evolution of these constraints, considering key philosophical and theoretical frameworks that have contributed to the understanding of human limitation and potential.
- To analyze the impact of these constraints on individual and collective human agency, focusing on themes such as autonomy, justice, identity, and moral responsibility.
- To explore the role of institutions and ideologies in reinforcing, challenging, or transforming these constraints over time.
- To assess contemporary challenges such as technological control, climate change, and global inequality as emergent forms of constraint in the 21st century.
- To identify research gaps and propose future areas of inquiry that can contribute to a deeper understanding of the constraints shaping human life and societal development.
